Carbamide Plant

The foundation for the Carbamide Plant was laid in 2011. The construction of the project began in February 2014, and it is planned to be commissioned in the near future. The construction of an enterprise with a total area of 39.27 hectares is underway in Sumgait. The plant will consist of sites for the production of ammonia and granulated carbamide. The main raw material for the production of nitrogen fertilizers will be natural gas. It is expected that the company’s gas consumption for the year of production will amount to 435 million cubic meters (1.32 million cubic meters per day). Sumgayit Technologies Park LLC actively participated in the project by providing 5,000 tons of metal structures, 60,000m² of sandwich panels and other services commissioned by Samsung Engineering Co. Ltd of South Korea.
